CC REBELS

2017 Spring and Summer Travel Program offerings for CCYB baseball players ages 9 to 18.

Ages 12 and under

Due to the high level of interest, CCYB/S and the CCHS coaching staff will expand the Rebels Travel program to include 9/10U, 11U, and 12U teams next Spring. The program will include the following:

  1. Ten 90-minute indoor practices from January to March at a facility to be named later that will be located no further than five miles from CCHS.
  2. One doubleheader in the AAU league each weekend (most games at home) and one home tournament called the Rebels Classic.
  3. Two uniform jerseys, one pant, a belt, a pair of socks, game hat, a bag, a helmet, and a batting practice jacket.
  4. One 90-minute outdoor practice per week from mid/late March until early June.
  5. All league and tournament fees.

The goals of this program are the following:

  1. Offer CCYB/S kids a chance to play competitive, travel baseball with their peers, rather than having players scattered throughout different programs.
  2. The opportunity to be coached by quality staff who will care about your child’s development for the long term and not "win at all costs."
  3. The opportunity to play most games in Concord/Carlisle and the Greater Boston area rather than all over New England.
  4. Operate a first-class travel program at a reasonable cost.
  5. The ability of players to play multiple sports in the off-season which builds a well-rounded athlete. In the Spring, players' primary focus will be on baseball.
  6. Build a strong feeder program to develop the high school team into one of the best in the state.
The cost of these program will be $1775 per player ($500 with the return of the contract, $500 on 11/1 and $775 on 2/1).  In addition, the CCHS coaching staff will offer strength/conditioning, position/skill specific clinics, and private lessons year-round at an additional reasonable cost in the Concord-Carlisle area.

Evaluations will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the varsity baseball field at CCHS
Ages 10 and under will take place from 8am to 11am, and ages 11-12 will take place from 12pm to 3pm. If interested, please register for tryouts here by July 31.  There will be a $20 evaluation fee.

Ages 13 to 18

Unfortunately, we currently do not have enough interest to run CCYB-only Spring and Summer Travel teams for ages 13 to 18 (though we are very close at some age levels), but Coach Aufiero wants to make sure players from CC have a chance to play against good competition and learn from quality baseball coaches, so he will operate teams on his own made up of Concord and Carlisle residents first and round out the rosters with players from other towns.  The teams will include the same items as listed above for the 12 and under teams except:

  • The teams will continue to focus on development, but winning will become more of a priority.
  • The 16-18 teams will play in five local tournaments, rather than playing in a league.  We will select tournaments that coaches will attend in order to get players exposure.  All Concord and Carlisle participants will pay a reduced fee of $1875 for the 13-15 year old teams and $1975  for the 16-18 year old teams.

The hope is that as the CC Rebels program grows, we can begin to field CC-only teams at these age levels, similar to what Div 1A two-time depending champion Braintree High School has organized.

Evaluations will take place on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at the CCHS varsity baseball field from 8am to 11am for ages 13-15 and 12pm to 3pm for ages 16-18. To register, please email .

Finally,  as stated above the CCHS coaching staff will be offering numerous private/group clinics during the fall, winter, and spring.  That information will be announced soon.  In the meantime, if there is enough interest the CCHS staff may offer a six-week in-house fall league for ages 10 and under, 11-12 (50/70), 13 (intro to the big diamond), 14-15, and 16-18.  The initial thoughts are to host on Sundays at CC fields, have an hour of skill-based instruction, and then an hour of between 60- and 90-minute scrimmages with instruction during the game.  The cost would be approximately $150 per player.
